SIGHT

All of our senses give us vital information about our surroundings, but the one we rely on most is vision. We walk, run, spring drive and ride safely through the world. We recognise friends, acquaintances, colleagues and enemies. We read, write and otherwise learn what's happening by the power of sight. Our sense of sight is responsible for most of the information we absorb from our combined senses. Many of the movements we perform, tasks we complete and personal interactions we make rely on vision in some way. Even our sleep quality by night are affected by the levels of light we see during the day.

SOUND

Our biological microphone. The sounds we hear represent a richly layered mix of frequencies and amplitudes, faithfully transmitted through a finely engineered apparatus. The human auditory system is most sensitive to frequencies between 2,000 and 5,000 Hz. The ability to hear enables us to connect to the world for many very important, even vital reasons. Most importantly, hearing connects us to the people around us. Enabling us to communicate in ways that none of our other senses can achieve.

SMELL

Smell is considered to be one of our most sacred senses. Some say it’s zest for life. Different scents have the impact to change your mood, transport you back to a distant memory, and may even help you bond with loved ones. Your ability to smell also plays a key role in your health and to the vibrancy to life.

TOUCH

Our tactile sense is a sense that most people are reasonably familiar with as it’s our ability to find connection and response. Our touch sense responds to anything that touches the skin. The skin is a very clever organ. It is our largest organ that covers our whole entire body. The ability to feel texture and shape. The sensation of temperatures, if things are hot or cold. This sense is something we fully embody as the receptors and nerve ending from our skin send signals directly to the brain allowing us to feel the difference between pain, relief, pressure, vibrations and scratches.

TASTE

Salty, sour, sweet, tangy, bitter. Why do all food & drink taste different? All this is possible thanks to our sense of taste. This sense is essential to life and allows us to identify our consumption of food. The tongue being the main organ responsible for tasting. This organ is covered with taste bumps called ‘papillae’ that are in charge to collect information and sends that date to the brain.

INTUTION

Do you ever get that feeling in your gut something is the right or wrong decision, but you don’t know why? Sometimes you just know what you need to do, and you don’t need to think about it. Our intuition and gut decisions are often linked with empathy, but sometimes deemed as mysticism. Our brain often processes information through slow and fast thinking via our conscious and unconscious mind. Life experiences is essentially how our instinct is formed. It helped our ancestors determine friend to foe. Intuition is a deep settled sense of certainty.
